I can safely say it was one of the smartest investments I ever made. To be honest, when I first bought the log splitter, I was sure it was malfunctioning. As it refused to split wood, I tried adding more hydraulic fluid until I realized there was a vent that I had to open! I can’t even begin to explain how silly I felt afterwards. I am quite satisfied with the engine power, I have no problem cutting maple and oak, as these are the two types I most commonly use as firewood. I’m also grateful that it is well-designed for the indoor use, since I am from Fort Nelson and it can get pretty cold outside, so I prefer chopping in my garage/workshop since I keep it heated in the winter.
